My latest mosaic project is finished! These flowers are the floral emblems of the states and territories of Australia. Made from recycled plates and mugs, they come together to form a beautiful bouquet. The picassiette flowers are my own design.
60x45cm (Crockery, tinted mortar, glass tiles, ceramic vase)
In these days of pandemic lockdowns, and border closures its good to remember that we are still one nation. There is beauty in unity, even in our diversity. My prayer is that we may all work together for the good of our nation and the well being of others, putting aside our divisions and self focus.
The flowers are as follows:
Waratah -NSW
Pink heath – Victoria
Royal Bluebell – ACT
Sturt Desert Rose – NT
Cooktown orchid – QLD
Sturt Desert Pea – SA
Tasmanian Blue Gum – TAS
Kangaroo Paw – WA
Proud to be an Australian!

Congratulations on creating this awesome work of art. Your message of unity is so relevant during these days when we are seeing our States divide as we have never witnessed before. We just have to remember that each Premier is aiming to protect the people of their States from the ravages of Covid 19. We live in hope that this pandemic will come under control and pass soon.
