I had fun with this piece that was designed for my son. I took into consideration his hobbies, likes and colour scheme to come up with this concept piece. After some interesting research on nature reclaiming humankind’s effort to create, I designed this mosaic which shows technology represented by the black and white tiles, and the VR head set, being overtaken by nature as it grows over it.
The head is looking into a Virtual Reality headset, looking at a virtual forest, while the real forest is unseen and overtaking them. The head is actually a planter with a real pot plant in it which will grow and spill over the edges of the face. I also had some fun with a play on words for the keyboard and mouse! My son, who is into VR and computers but also plants and forests loved it.
